A 7 mile walk based on the
Crich walk from Discover Derbyshire and the Peak District web site which visits:
- Crich Stand, the Sherwood Foresters Memorial
- Wingfield Manor, an English Heritage property
Instead of starting this walk from the Market Place in Crich it was started from a layby (SK367548) on the B5035 about ½ mile south west of South Wingfield. Walking about 100 yards west along the road, then taking the path to the right along the side of two fields and then turning left through a stile joins the walk at stage 14.
At Crich Stand it's worthwhile taking the path to the north around the edge of the quarry for ½ a mile to the end of the tramway.
